For more than 12 years Kasil lived with macroglossia. Eating, speaking and going to school were daily struggles, and he often hid his face beneath a hoodie.
In February 2025 a volunteer alerted CTC Inc. to his case. We coordinated his referral from Kainantu to Port Moresby General Hospital, specialist consultations, MRI scans, passports and travel documents. On 16 July 2025, Kasil and his father flew to India for a highly successful operation.
His story spread across social media and inspired thousands of Papua New Guineans. Today Kasil is back in Grade 7, eating, speaking and learning with confidence.
