In 2020, Joe suffered a devastating injury that needed highly specialised reconstructive surgery. After operations at Kimbe and Port Moresby, his family was told overseas treatment was his only hope.
CTC Inc. took on his case in May 2025 and CFF accepted him for treatment in Australia — but just days before departure the surgeon withdrew because the case was too complex. Determined not to give up, CTC Inc., CFF and Medivisor India found a reconstructive urologist in India who accepted Joe’s case.
His first surgery succeeded, and on 22 July 2026 Joe returned to India for his final operation, which was also successful. He is home now with renewed hope.
